Anthony “Nino” Lane & Jimmy Rossi to Perform at Festa Italiana Portland 2025
Portland, OR – September 2025 – Festa Italiana Portland is proud to announce that internationally acclaimed vocalist Anthony “Nino” Lane will take the stage with bassist and vocalist Jimmy Rossi for a special performance at this year’s festival. The event will be held September 20–21, 2025, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 2408 SE 16th Avenue, Portland.
Anthony “Nino” Lane, born Antonino Pasquale Cotroneo, is a seasoned performer with roots in Calabria, Italy. From his early days as “the little Italian singer” to recording with A&M and CBS Records, touring internationally, and running Monterey’s legendary Planet Gemini club, Nino has spent decades captivating audiences with his powerful voice and magnetic stage presence. Today, he follows his heart back to the music of his heritage—classic Italian favorites that delight audiences of all ages.
Joining him is Jimmy Rossi, a lifelong musician, educator, and proud son of Italian immigrants from Calabria. Rossi has played in countless ensembles across genres but says his first love has always been Italian music. Together, Lane and Rossi create a heartfelt performance that blends authenticity, passion, and tradition.
Festa Italiana Portland 2025 promises two days of live entertainment, authentic Italian food and wine, grape stomping, bocce, dancing, and family fun. Admission is just $7 per person per day, with kids 12 and under free.

🎶 Andrea Algieri & Mbrascatu Bring Global Sounds to Festa Italiana Portland
This September, Portland’s very own Andrea Algieri & Mbrascatu will take the stage at Festa Italiana Portland, bringing with them a sound that is as diverse and colorful as the community gathering to celebrate Italian heritage.
Born in Southern Italy and blossoming in the Pacific Northwest, Andrea Algieri has created a band that transcends borders. Mbrascatu (mm-brah-ska-too) is more than just a group—it’s a fusion of cultures, styles, and stories. Together with some of the West Coast’s most talented musicians, Algieri blends Italian lyricism with indie rock, weaving a sonic experience that is at once intimate, dynamic, and universally appealing.
From thoughtful ballads and intense rock anthems to danceable, infectious grooves, Mbrascatu’s music resists boundaries. Their sound draws on influences from rock, funk, jazz, classical, folk, Americana, and European traditions, all anchored by Algieri’s warm baritone voice. The lyrics—rich with heartfelt messages—cross languages and cultures, inviting audiences everywhere into their journey of love, identity, and shared humanity.
With four celebrated studio albums—Mbrascatu, Tempo, Elementi, and Tutto Cambia—the band has performed across the United States and Italy, earning praise for their artistry and passion. Their latest release, Tutto Cambia, explores the evolving nature of life and connection, blending European folk, psych rock, and Americana into a tapestry that speaks to the universal human experience.

Spotlight on Erin Mikelle Walker: Portland’s Own Soprano Talent
Festa Italiana Portland is proud to welcome Erin Mikelle Walker, a gifted soprano whose artistry and passion for music have made her a beloved performer and teacher in the Portland community.
A classically trained vocalist, Erin has graced stages with Opera on Tap Portland, Portland Summerfest Opera Chorus, Astoria Music Festival Opera Chorus, Ping and Woof Opera, Lark Opera, and Renegade Opera. Her warm, expressive voice shines in opera, recital, and church settings, and she is also available as a soloist for private and public events.
Beyond her own performances, Erin has been sharing her love of music as a teacher since 2013. She offers voice and piano lessons for ages 5 through adult, focusing on solid technique while encouraging students to explore a wide range of styles. Whether guiding a young beginner or helping an adult discover the joy of music, Erin’s teaching nurtures creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of singing.
Her dedication to her craft is backed by years of study: Erin holds a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from Portland State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Northern Arizona University. She continues to refine her skills under the guidance of world-renowned baritone Richard Zeller.
